The incentive marketing system is basically: you sign up on a webite (that offers a variety of trial offers) either through someone's referral link or the website itself (explained in Getting Started tutorial).  You sign up for one or more of these trial offers. Once you have completed these offers, You will either get paid by the person that referred you or you get cash or prizes from the site that you completed.
